BLE will be hosting a Wintersday Gala December 21st at 8PM EST to celebrate this year’s holiday season. There will be a variety of activities including a thematic fashion show, white lion gift swap, snow creation competition and a gift delivering scavenger hunt. Attendees should come dressed in their most festive attire to fully embrace the spirit of the season.
Gala Activities Events that will be happening specifically during the Wintersday Gala.
Brush up on your Wintersday knowledge because five Tyrian toymaker themed trivia questions will be asked to all attendees as our first party activity! The first person to answer each question will win a prize.
- All answers must be written in squad chat. - You may only answer once per question unless told otherwise. - You can only win one prize. After winning you cannot continue to answer questions. -. Misspellings are allowed as long as they are recognizable as the correct answer.
Participants will need to sign up on the forums to compete for the best Wintersday outfit in one of two categories: ‘Festive Fashion’ or ‘Eternal Ice’. Sign ups end the day before the party. The winner of each category will be voted on for a week after the party by their fellow Lions in an online poll.

Prizes include a 150G for the 1st place winners and 50G for the 2nd place winners. All participants will receive a Mini Snowman.
White Lion Gift Swap is BLE's interpretation of a White Elephant Gift Exchange or Yankee Swap in which participants swap provided gifts back and forth attempting to obtain the most desirable gift.
There will be a list of gifts provided by leadership equal to the amount of participants in the gift swap. Each gift will be labelled with a number and each participant will be labelled the same.
The participant labelled ‘one’ will choose a gift number. The game leader will 'unwrap it' by linking its contents in chat and will mark down the gift as being held by participant 'one'.
The next participant, labelled ‘two’, may then choose to either steal the gift chosen by player one, or select a new gift to receive.
If a gift is stolen the participant whose gift was taken may then select a new gift or steal a gift. A gift may only be stolen three times, and a gift may not be stolen back directly from the player who just stole it.
The game leader will keep track of who holds which gift throughout the game. The game continues until all participants have a gift.
Player one then gets one final optional turn to steal a gift and this turn continues until no one else chooses to steal.
The gifts in this swap will be kept a secret to preserve the integrity of the game.
Randomly assigned teams of Lions will split up around the Guild Hall to create, within the time and decoration limit, a snow creation of their design.
These creations will be judged by selected officers on 'creativity', 'effort', and 'message'. The group whose creation has the highest score will be deemed the winner!
Participants must rush to deliver Wintersday Gifts to hidden Gift Dolyaks around Hoelbrak. Hints to the location of these Dolyaks will be given in a typed list in both squad chat and discord.
The amount of gifts delivered within the time limit determines the value of the prize each participant will receive.
Wintersday Activities Events that will be happening for the duration of Wintersday.
Participants can sign-up -HERE- to participate in a guild Secret Santa.
Sign-ups will last for a week after the Wintersday Festival begins and then participants will have two weeks to select, purchase, and send a gift to their Secret Santa partner. Names will be randomized and drawn in pairs to determine Secret Santa partners.
Snowflakes donated to the guild by mail to either RD, Sarah, or Jay will count for raffle entries. Each 100 snowflakes will count as one raffle entry and for every 500 snowflakes donated the participant will earn an extra bonus entry.
The name will be drawn on the last day of the Wintersday Festival. All entries should be sent by 12:00AM EST the day before. Late entries will not be counted.

This year's BLE Gift Swap is a streamlined version of what we have done in prior years. This time, there will only be one item per gift bag, so linking and tracking items will be much easier!
Also, the prizes may or may not all be of similar value this time around …
