((a continuation of A Legendary Journey))

Magnus returned to Lions Arch, weary but pleased with a night full of successful guild missions with the Lions.

The loot in his bag was nothing spectacular, a standard array of rare, but not exceptional, weapons and armor. He looked at the Cartographers' bank and saw there was enough of these items already, so he grabbed two longbows and two pairs of heavy boots. "No one will miss these."

Though it was normally Dudaeus or Zak who took care of using the mystic forge, Magnus visited Zommoros this time.

After depositing the items and waiting the requisite few seconds, Magnus received an exotic dagger. But this was not an exotic dagger.

This was Spark, the precursor weapon used to craft the legendary dagger, Incinerator!!!

"Sweet, sweet treasure!"

Blebb returned from Frostgorge Sound, and rubbed his grayish hands together near a small fire. He trudged over to the Cartographers' treasure stash and loaded a small but heavy crate into a safe spot.

"Why in the Eternal Alchemy would a legendary dagger require 100 Icy Runestones to complete?"

Dudaeus shrugged. "We do not know, but it is required nonetheless. Our pockets are a little lighter now, too. Guess I had better visit the Fractals of the Mists. I hear there is some good loot to be found in there."

Grizz became interested in this project when he heard it involved fractals and that the end result was a legendary dagger.

The coffers filled with loot from adventuring, and the coins and laurels were turned into the remaining materials needed to complete the task.

Grizz did the honors, following the recipe to the letter, and lo and behold, the Cartographers' now owned Incinerator!
