For those of you wondering what I mean when I say portal maze. Basically, there are two decorations in the guild hall that are the djinn teleportation device and an accompanying exit. These decorations can be linked to provide an instant one-way travel from one guild hall location to the other regardless of distance or location even through terrain (those of you who had attended the halloween and wintersday parties this year used one to enter the workshop dome). I plan to use these decorations to make an enclosed maze that guild members can try to navigate through to the end. Naturally, there will be traps that me and maybe others will come up with to overcome as well.

This is going to be a massive undertaking compared to my ghall jps for multiple reasons. Therefore, I will be asking for anyone interested in tasks ranging from fundraising to design to testing to assist me in these endeavors. My process pipeline will be as follows:

1. IN PROGRESS: Gather a good supply of teleportation devices (current count: 34, goal: 60+)
2. IN PROGRESS: Test theories related to how the portal set up works (most of these are related to handling multiple portals at once so I can’t really test them with what we have now)
3. TO DO: Design the maze
3a. TO DO?: acquire more doubloons if the maze requires it
4. TO DO: Actually go and make it

The key item for these portals is the Brilliant Djinn Doubloon https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Brilliant_Djinn_Doubloon (currently 60g on the TP, or 150 gaeting crystals and 20g for anyone that has killed the raid boss, Qadim). As you need separate doubloons for the entrance and the exit, making just one portal connection can get fairly pricey and a portal maze with only a few connections will not be entertaining. Therefore, the fundraising requirement is fairly large and will probably take the longest of any part of this process, it will cost more than buying any legendary weapon on the TP outright as context.

If you are interested in assisting with donations, you can send either gold or Brilliant Djinn doubloons to me. The djinn doubloons will be stockpiled in my personal bank and I’ll move the gold to my own guild bank until there’s enough to buy a doubloon because I want to ensure I don’t spend it on something superfluous.

If you are unwilling or unable to donate, let me be clear that this is perfectly fine and I will not be flooding the discord and guild chat with donation requests. There will also be plenty of other ways to contribute beyond just donating, such as design and testing. Anyone that is in the guild will be able to enjoy this. I am taking a break from legendary crafting for this so I will cover whatever funds I can spare to the project from what I get in game until this is done.
