For our newer Lions (and all Lions, really) -
BLE frequently takes advantage of an opportunity to earn some prestige ((merits and influence)) for our guild. One mission type that accomplishes this is known as a Guild Rush.
The basic premise is that the participating Lions will transform into a specific creature and navigate an obstacle course of sorts. Other Lions assist by escorting them through the mobs of enemies in the area.
The more Lions the merrier when a Guild Rush is on. I recommend consulting our herald ((ble.guildwork.com)) for further study guides on Guild Rushes.
So as you are out on your travels, here are some frequently visited zones for the rushes. Grab waypoints out here and you can join in the missions much more easily!
These are the rush locations (the numbers indicate Magnus' personal rankings of favorite to least favorite):
Though not required reading, this handbook outlines many good tips for contributing to the rush missions with efficiency that most asura could appreciate.
((We normally do guild rushes as a chance for Lions to earn the weekly personal reward and earn the guild reward of bonus merits and influence if we succeed in the rush. As with all guild missions, the weekly rewards reset on Saturdays at daily reset time)).
Sometimes we run a rush and it overlaps with another guild's rush mission.
When this occurs, there will be a prompt at the end of the mission to accept or decline credit. Your BLE officers will direct the guild on which option to choose based on Lion participation in the current rush.
We accept when our Lions already ran it and we can take credit to complete the mission; we decline if lots of Lions missed out and save the rush to run immediately afterwards for our own credit.
With the Heart of Thorns update, a Guild Rush is now known as a Guild Race. But I don't think there are any other changes except that we get to know which Rush, er Race, has been set up for us ahead of time.
The 12/1 update added a feature for guild rush (is it race or rush, they keep using these terms interchangeably).
An NPC has been added to the end of guild rushes that allows guild members, with permission, to end the mission early, and grants them favor before the timer runs out.
This will be good for us when we have mission success and all participating Lions have earned their personal reward.
The 12/1 update also patched the quaggan paddle rush for the issue about earning guild credit when the mission was activated by another guild with the same active mission.
