((This is a light RP story to serve as an introduction to a revenant character. In game, this translates to playing through things such as a round of VB nightfall or an AB Octovine event as a small party, with "in character" party chat. I will designate a time when I am going to do the RP and those would enjoy this type of gameplay will be welcome to come along.))

Magnus was enjoying a brew and the view of the waterfall of Lost Precipice. He told Sylgja, "I never cease to be impressed with Mister Dibb's tinkering, did you see that globe he constructed at our portal?"
Sylgja nodded. "And let's not forget the creativity of so many of the Lions. Look around at all of the furnishings about this place now!"
"Our home is spartan by comparison, but comfortable nonetheless."
Their rest was momentarily interrupted by the sight of a Charr loping across the bridge towards their home.
Slightly winded, the Charr arrived and said, "Hail, Magnus. I am Chillos Blackwelt, explorer."
Magnus laughed. "We've met many times before, Chillos. But you rarely set a paw inside Lost Precipice."
The Charr regained his wind and accepted a drink. "Aye. Thanks. A pact soldier delivered some lost cargo to me and I thought you might want to see this."
Chillos removed a sizeable pack and removed a blanket that covered the locked crate. The Black Lion Expedition logo had been burned into the side of the box.
"It's locked, but I'm sure that can be overcome easily enough."
Magnus' sister, Inge, joined them to take a look at the crate. As something of an aspiring engineer, Inge convinced Magnus to let her use some tools to open it up rather than his brute force.
Inside, they found a set of nice looking armor and a couple of weapons.
Magnus wondered, "Was this a delivery for us? It looks practically unused, but I can't imagine us needing this."
Inge sifted through the bundle and found a note. She started to read it, then stopped suddenly and dropped the paper and slumped back, nearly falling down in the process.
The siblings read the note and realized that their father was alive.
Inge said, "His gear was sent here but he is still out there."
Magnus shook his head. "It has been a long time since we have seen him."
Inge grabbed the box and started back towards the tavern. "I will bring this to him. I'm going to post a bulletin to see if any Lions will make this trip with me."
Magnus disagreed. "I should be the one to go."
Inge would not hear of this. "You have too many responsibilities here. I will have others with me and I will send regular reports."
Inge has posted a bulletin in the tavern, requesting help from any Lions who would like to help her.
The bulletin reads: I am in search of someone dear to me who we believed was lost but now is found! But I need to get to him safely and return him here to Lost Precipice.
We will leave from here and journey across Verdant Brink. Our point of contact is Lanthranir of the Wild.
Across the Verdant Brink, the war never ends. In the daytime, there is always work to be done to secure outposts, recover supplies, and fend off the hostile denizens of the rugged terrain. But that is easy compared to nightfall.
